Within a four-day-lasting workshop, an experimental typeface was developed. The desired result was to combine a handwritten script with a grotesque script and to display and use it by digital means. Within the workshop, the programme Glyphs was as well trained independently and lateron used as a working tool by the students. Several individuals‘ personal handwriting were collected and analysed in detail. Furthermore, by means of pangrams written down in different handwriting styles, speeds and stroke widths, a large number of handwriting examples could be collected and used for the development of the script. By joint vote, certain letters were chosen as basis for the script development. In small teams, first minuscules were created. Lateron, in the large group, these were discussed, categorised and evaluated. In order to determine the typeface style, individual minuscules were agreed upon on which the rest of the typeface was created.
